Jeff Townsend

Jeff Townsend has been a Principal of the Endeavour Consulting Group since its inception. He has a background of senior public sector and Ministerial staff appointments. Between 1978 and 1988 Jeff worked in the Prime Minister's Department and served as Senior Private Secretary to Prime Minister Hawke (1983-1985) and Chief of Staff to Trade Minister Dawkins (1985-1986). He later served as Chief Executive of several ACT Government Departments including the Chief Minister's Department and the Department of Environment, Land and Planning.

Paul Whalan

Paul Whalan is a veteran in the lobbying industry, having operated in the government relations and political consultancy sector for over twenty years. His previous career experience was as a Member of Parliament, a Minister in the first ACT Government, and political adviser. He has specialised as a lobbyist in natural resource issues, planning, and major infrastructure projects.

Paul was an adviser to several Ministers in the Hawke Government before being elected to the ACT Assembly. He served as Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Industry, Employment and Education. Apart from his ACT Government background, Paul has long-term political associations with ALP Governments in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Mark Baker

Mark Baker joined the Endeavour Consulting Group in March 2006. Uniquely, his career has seen him serve at senior levels in both the private and public sectors and within political circles.

Prior to his commencement with Endeavour Consulting Group, Mark was Group Head of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs for the Westpac Banking Corporation. As such, he advised the Bank’s Board and Senior Management on all legislative, regulatory and reputational risk iisues affecting the Bank’s interests.

Prior to his commencement at the bank in September 2002, he spent two years as a Senior Adviser to then Prime Minister, the Hon John Howard MP, working within the Cabinet Policy Unit. As such, he assisted in the development of whole of Government policy, with day-to-day Cabinet processes and was responsible for co-ordination of the Coalition’s 2001 election policy platform. He also served as the Prime Minister's senior speechwriter.

Mark spent 15 years with Advance Bank, culminating in his appointment as Chief Executive – ACT Region. He also served as Secretary of the Department of Business, Arts, Sport and Tourism (ACT Govt).

Danielle Collins

Danielle Collins, the most recent addition to the team, joined Endeavour Consulting Group in February 2008 as Office Manager. This move followed a nine year career in high level administrative positions for three consecutive Howard Ministries. Prior to accepting the position with Endeavour, Danielle was appointed as the Assistant Private Secretary to then Prime Minister, the Hon John Howard MP and preceding this Danielle served as the Executive Assistant to then Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon John Anderson MP, and as Office Manager to the Hon John Fahey MP.
